Dragontales are a collection of ancient dragon Qigong exercises, practiced in order to achieve physical fitness, increase vitality and good health. Dragontales are simple and fun and they open up all channels of energy, help find balance, and restore good health. Dragons are considered special beings made from both earth and cosmic vibrations. They are wise, powerful, protective, strong and transformative in color, shape and energy.
Dragontales is usually taught during the winter season to help warm up and protect the body during the cold weather. Swimming Dragon Qigong is taught throughout the year to help open up blockages and transform the negative energy into positive energy.
East Asian Dragons are associated with water such as rain, vapor, fog, springs, rivers, and oceans. Just as water can take many shapes and states, from solid ice to flowing water, Dragons are shape-shifters linked with transformation, always appearing and disappearing, changing into something new.
Dragon Qigong heals by opening all meridians and blockages in the body and by releasing stress while strengthening and empowering the practitioner. Movements are flowing and undulating, capturing the transformative essences of the dragon.
Dragontales are taught at Kaiser Permanente in Terra Linda during the winter and spring seasons.
